#WINDOWS 10 NOT ENOUGH MEMORY TO OPEN A PHOTO WINDOWS 7#
I've discovered that when I run convert BADFILE.jpg -strip GOODFILE.jpg command on that file it opens on Windows 7 Photo Viewer without any problem. This is maybe not solution for Opening it right from Outlook but You can fix that files in source. It can be verified with ImageMagick identify -verbose command. This issue in my case is related to included Profile-icc in that JPG file.

I dig this issue because I had similar problem with photos exported from Android Send Reduced Free application. The new Microsoft Photos app is absolutely terrible and I will avoid it at all costs.

Specs: I'm running Windows 10 v1909 Build 18363.535 on a Lenovo P50 laptop with 32GB memory, 500GB storage (currently 192GB free), Intel Core i7-6700HQ. Had plenty of spare space anyway but nothing changed. I've tried the resolution in the post (moving it to different monitors powered by different video card) and nothing changed.ĭisk clean up. I have 2 video cards built in: standard Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 and an Nvidia Quadro M1000M.I've seen this post: Windows Photo Viewer needs more ram? This didn't work because when I get to colour management, I have no profiles set up so I can't delete. My laptop has 32GB of RAM, and currently using 8GB of that according to task manager. The image is 200KB in size, res of 1428x2000.Any image I've tried to open results in this error. The new JPG also displays the same message. I opened with Photoshop, that worked fine.

I saved to desktop, tried to open, same issue. I restarted and tried to open the image again but no luck.

I still get the same error when using the TV though.Īnd in case it matters, I'm running 64 bit Windows 7 on a Samsung RC512 with 6G of ram and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M.Just got a weird error. The only other thing that might be relevant is, I do frequently plug the HDMI output into my TV, during which it switches to just a solo monitor output to the TV. (is this really just more of a bug?) I saw some "solutions" regarding settings in color management, but none of them worked.

Close some programs that you aren't using or free some hard disk space (if it's almost full), and then try again."įirst off, I have never been even close to low on ram or disk space at any point I have tried to view an image, and in the past I could be running SolidWorks with huge assemblies open, and I could have large images open in viewer without a problem. When I double click on an image, Photo Viewer pops up with the following message: All of the sudden, I cannot view any (and I've tried many) images using Windows Photo Viewer.
